Crete, Greece's largest island, is known for its varied terrain, which ranges from fine-sand beaches at Elafonisi to the White Mountains. Mt. Ida, the tallest of the range, is home to the Ideon Cave, which was the birthplace of Zeus, according to Greek mythology. The capital, Heraklion, is home to the renowned Heraklion Archaeological Museum, housing Minoan artifacts, and Knossos, a Bronze Age settlement.

Sep 13: Paxos Antipaxos Blue Caves Cruise
Full day multilingual guiding on board Admire the scenery of the Old Town of Corfu (city sightseeing by boat). Continue sailing south along the west coast of Paxos island, enjoying the impressive rocky coastline and the unique white sandy beaches. The boat enters the breath-taking sea caves, whose clear blue waters will leave you speechless. The blue caves marine area is a natural habitat of the Mediterranean monk seal (monachus monachus) and all the island complex of Paxos, included in the European initiative ΝΑΤURΑ 2000. Visit the island of Antipaxos, whose sandy blue-water coves have been compared to those in the Caribbean. see the small islands of Skaltsonisi and Mongonisi. Sailing alongside of the narrow channel of Paxos and the islands of Panagia and Agios Nikolaos we moor to the centre of the picturesque port of Gaios village. Drive to the Roman Temple of Olympic Zeus, the Panathinaikon Stadium (site of the first modern Olympic Games in 1896), the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in front of the Parliament House on Constitution Square. See views of government buildings and elegant structures of the 19th century. Drive along Panepistimiou Avenue and view the Catholic Cathedral, the Academy, University, National Library.
